This summer, the lobby of Olin Library has played host to the historical Chickering grand piano that normally resides in the Highwaymen Lounge of the Romance Languages & Literatures building. To celebrate, we organized a series of short, noon-time mini-concerts (10-15 minutes each) that featured the piano, whether solo or with other instruments or singers.
We are excited that Nadya Potemkina, viola and violin, with Neely Bruce at the piano will be performing an encore for the series on Friday, September 4, 2026 from 12:15-12:30, before the piano returns home.

Nadya Potemkina is Adjunct Associate Professor of Music and of Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies and director of the Wesleyan Orchestra and the Wesleyan Concert Choir. Neely Bruce is the John Spencer Camp Professor of Music.
